On 18 April 1980, Zimbabwe was declared independent and strategies were put in place to restore ownership of the land and its riches, to the locals.

U.K. HUMAN RIGHTS PROTESTERS CAUSE THE CLOSURE OF SOUTH AFRICA HIGH COMMISSION IN PLANNED ANTI XENOPHOBIA PEACEFUL PROTEST.
As Africans in the U.K. on the 11th September 2019, (11/09/19) we united to protest at SOUTH AFRICA HOUSE against the Xenophobic attacks on black migrants by indigenous South Africans carried out mostly in the capital city Johannesburg and the port city of Durban.
In the past weeks, we have seen yet again, Xenophobic atrocities happening in SOUTH AFRICA against fellow black Africans. Zimbabweans, Nigerians, Ghanaian's and so many other Africans have been affected. One of the videos shows a man being burned alive, in another video a man is apparently beaten to death, he is effectively being summarily tortured by mob rule.

MDC co-vice president, Tendai Biti has bemoaned what he calls “State Capture” in Zimbabwe characterised by the formation of cartels in command agriculture, fuel sector, banking sector, communications sector, to mention but a few.
Biti opined that the crude ecosystem of State Capture now a reality in Zimbabwe has never been seen before. He writes:
"Beyond legitimacy and the economic crisis, the country suffers from an unprecedented, unparalleled and unmitigated, scourge of capture and corruption. The current regime has redefined kleptocracy, patronage and patrimonialism. The current regime has invented its own set of cronyism. A new blend of Mobutism that makes Mobutu Seseko a toddler, in the art of State Capture."

On Wednesday April 18, 2018, Zimbabwe Human Rights Organisation (ZHRO), and other Human Rights organizations including Restoration of Human Rights Zimbabwe (ROHR) & Zimbabwe Citizens Initiative (ZCI), some political parties, and citizens movements are uniting to demonstrate outside the Zimbabwean Embassy in London.
ZHRO is initiating an ongoing campaign for a second independence for Zimbabwe termed, '#Take2Zimbabwe' in support of a united citizens ‘front’ coming together against the betrayal of independence irrespective of parties, groups, movements etc. In effect ‘the people’ will be rejecting the Independence Day celebration in favour of triggering their own “Zexit” – leaving behind the failed State of Zimbabwe in favour of a new Independent Zimbabwe.
"#Take2Zimbabwe What Independence? concept was birthed from realization that I/you/we and those past have been tragically betrayed by the military regime & government.
