Petition to Stop Mnangagwa going to COP26

We have formally sought permission to deliver a written petition to 10 Downing Street, On the 21st October at 14:00; This petition will cover;
- Regarding the wholly inappropriate invitation extended by the British Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe [Presumably with an OK from the FCO, and possibly the UN - regarding COP26], to invite E D Mnangagwa, [illegally elected] President of Zimbabwe and an entourage of 70 – including 50 “Security Personnel” to the COP26 Climate Conference being held in Glasgow 31st October to 12th November 2021.
- On E D Mnangagwa’s Human Rights record, his political repression record and his non-existent Environmental record we wish to protest in writing this visitation of a despotic tyrant, guilty of Genocide, Murder, Rape and Torture, let alone the institutionalised corruption and looting of all resources to his name.
- We also object to E D Mnangagwa and Zanu PF [Zimbabwe and UK] appalling record for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as promoted by the United Nations [UNSDGs]. Such as, Failed Drinking Water Supplies, Failed Sewage Systems, Failed Electricity supply, Failed Road, Rail and Transport infrastructure and ongoing maintenance, Biased Judiciary, Failed voting system and administration, etc etc.

Why are Zanu PF UK Here?

The following "fluff" piece [of blatant propaganda] was penned by the self professed Dr Masimba Mavaza - a Zanu PF apologist here in the UK.
His reporting of the call for "unity" by this UK cabal, is of particular concern, considering the blatant and often inflicted violence on MDCA members in Zimbabwe. To expect those who have fled Zimbabwe due to oppression and violence, to forgive and forget is disingenuous to say the least. So the question remains, "Why and How are Zanu PF UK allowed to be in the UK when they are clearly linked to the terrorist host organisation in Zimbabwe. Are they here to do Zanu PF's 'laundry'? Are they here to lobby the Home office and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to 'paper-over' the oppression and corruption in Zimbabwe? Are they here simply to cause confusion and to infiltrate the legitimate diaspora - with the Zanu PF Junta's violent agenda?
These questions need answers, these members of Zanu PF UK need investigation. Their corporate shareholdings and directorships need to be investigated with a view to pin-pointing their "source of funds". We have started our dossier already.
ZANU PF UK AND ENGLAND [Europe] had their first post-COVID general meeting on Saturday in Northampton, [Northamptonshire,] Midlands in England. The meeting came [about] when [due to] the President of Zimbabwe, cde Emerson Dambudzo MNANGAGWA is marked to visit the United Kingdom in October soon after the ZANU PF 19th Conference in Bindura. [to speak at the COP26 Climate Event in Glasgow - 30th October - 11th November 2021]
The meeting in the UK was chaired by the most senior executive member cde Xavier Muneyi Muzukuru Zavare who is the secretary for Administration and the acting chairman. Cde Xavier Muneyi Muzukuru Zavare became the acting chairman by the action of the law following the death of cde MASIMBA TAWENGWA who passed on in January 2021 due to COVID-19.
In ZANU PF when a chairperson of the party in any portfolio dies the next senior position holder becomes the acting chairperson. In the case of ZANU PF UK cde ZAVARE as the secretary of Administration is a lawfully acting chairperson. ZANU PF UK has been rocked by bickering of positions and looks divided with cde Marshal Gore who is the deputy secretary of administration claiming to be the legitimate Chairman. Cde Gore even though not supported by the ZANU PF constitution is being supported by few heavy weights he claims are at the Head Office and few government officials. Cde Gore did not attend the general meeting which was attended by hundreds[??] of people.
Fight the Flight Vigil Weds 11th August 2021

Today on the 11th August 2021 we had TWO Vigils/Demonstrations. One in London outside the Zimbabwe Embassy, the other in the City centre of Newcastle.
In London the modest Wednesday Vigil was graced with Natasha Dyer, who was looking into xenophobia and discrimination for a research project. Focusing on the effect on women in particular. The Women at the Vigil spoke on the issues that they have faced in the UK. In their everyday lives, work and particularly in the asylum process. Natasha was referred to us by Diane Taylor, at the Guardian Newspaper. During this discrimination against Zimbabweans [and Jamaicans, Vietnamese, Afghans etc as well] today Diane at the Guardian reported that just 7 Jamaicans left this morning on a chartered plane, which was estimated to have cost the British Tax-Payer £43,000 for each Jamaican Forcibly removed. A great deal of money, ostensibly to make a "Political Statement".
In London, songs were sung, drums and shakers were played to accompany the verbal insults to the Zanu PF 'so-called' leadership in Zimbabwe. We have to keep pointing out that the tragedy in Zimbabwe is exclusively the responsibility of the ruling Zanu PF political Party. But please, don't just take our word for it. British Embassy, Harare and Zanu PF do a Deal

It’s very simple.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office and their apparent communications to the Home Office do not have sufficient, nor up-to-date information to support a ‘broad-brush’ policy to deport or remove up to 100 Zimbabweans per month. A "deal" aparently made between the British Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe and the ruling Zanu PF "Government".
Irrespective of flights with 50 or less Zimbabweans on board plus the attendant “Support Staff” [Guards] Zimbabwe has become a very dangerous place for anybody connected with any opposition party, any human rights activist, journalists etc. Even now the Zimbabwean Government is pressuring NGO’s not to speak out concerning anything [to do with the Zanu PF Government]
If the Foreign Office would spend time talking with the MDC-A Opposition Party – in particular Tendia Biti, [Vice President] a gifted and committed Zimbabwean Politician, who ably steered the Finances of Zimbabwe during the “Unity Government”.

UK Government’s Latest Position: Sanctions
1st February 2021: In respect of Human Rights Abuses in Zimbabwe as stated on the UK Government Website; New Sanctions imposed.

Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab said:
"These sanctions send a clear message that we will hold to account those responsible for the most egregious human rights violations, including the deaths of innocent Zimbabweans."
"These sanctions target senior individuals in the Government, and not ordinary Zimbabweans. We will continue to press for the necessary political and economic reforms that will benefit all Zimbabweans."
These sanctions are in addition to our work to hold the Government of Zimbabwe to account in implementing genuine political and economic reforms that benefit all Zimbabweans.
